How to Become an Official Weaver
Last updated: August 15, 2025The Kenwelluniverse is a collection of interconnected worlds, each with its own story, elements, and atmosphere. Translating one of these worlds is not just a linguistic task: it is a responsibility that requires commitment and a deep understanding of the Kenwelluniverse itself. If you are interested in participating as a Weaver, this guide will walk you through the process step by step.
Choosing the Kenwellworld you want to translate
Before doing anything else, you must decide which Kenwellworld or which section of the Kenwelluniverse platform you want to translate. This may be a game, an application, or a program. Each Kenwellworld has its own localization file, and only one official translation per language can exist.
- Therefore, the first step is to check whether that Kenwellworld already has a translation in the language you are interested in.
- If a translation already exists, creating a second version is not allowed.
- If none exists, you may proceed with a formal request.
Reading the Binding Weaver Contract
Before submitting any request, it is mandatory to read the Binding Weaver Contract.
This document outlines: the legal conditions of your role, the rules of style, fidelity, and narrative consistency, the intellectual property of the translations, and the limitations on modifying the original texts.
Only those who accept these conditions may officially act as Weavers of the Kenwelluniverse.
Requesting authorization to translate
If the Kenwellworld does not have a translation in the language you want, you must create a ticket in the Kenwell Support Center.
In the ticket form, you must submit the following information:
Message: Briefly explain the reason for your request and accept the Binding Weaver Contract, as well as the role you will obtain if the request is approved.
Response timeframe
Kenwell will review your request within an approximate period of 1 to 8 calendar days from the moment it is submitted.
- If your request is approved, you will receive a link to the corresponding localization files along with an instruction manual explaining how to work with the translation properly.
- If your request is rejected, do not insist or resubmit it: the decision is final and will not be reconsidered.
Advancement within the Weavers
There are three possible ranks within the Weavers. Each has its own unique requirement to be obtained, and usually only a few will hold the highest hierarchical level.
- Worldweaver: this is the initial role. It is granted when a Kenwellcitizen has translated between 1 and 7 Kenwellworlds.
- Universeweaver: granted to those Kenwellcitizens who have translated between 8 and 16 Kenwellworlds.
- Realityweaver: granted to the Kenwellcitizen who possesses all medals, badges, trophies, and other collectibles that prove they have translated all available Kenwellworlds and continue to do so, including the Kenwell platform itself.
Kenwell hopes this short article has helped you enough to encourage you to take the step and become a Weaver!
